By now, seemingly everyone and their mother has weighed in on the Mike Rice firing at Rutgers. Just in case, you’ve been living under a rock or something, Rice is the now deposed coach of the men’s basketball team at Rutgers, who was caught on tape heaving basketballs and shouting homosexual slurs at his team during practices.
It’s a despicable abuse of power, considering many recruits were miles away from their friends and family, who had entrusted the coaching staff with their well being.
We’ve already heard from Spurs coach Gregg Popovich on the subject, and recently we caught up with CBS college basketball analyst Seth Davis to get his opinions on the firing.
Not to beat a dead horse, but we thought it was very entertaining to hear future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant’s reaction when asked the question by Jim Rome what would his reaction have been if he was one of those players getting balls thrown at his head…………..Priceless.
