Bradley Beal Shut Down For the Rest of the Season

The Washington Wizards have been playing extremely well since John Wall returned from injury, and it’s almost a certainty that they would’ve been in the playoff picture. But it’s not all John Wall. Bradley Beal hit his stride towards the middle of the season as well, which sparked the turnaround.

However, despite his good play this season, Beal has had to deal with his fair number of injuries. This latest one (a stress injury) is enough to claim the rest of his season. Better to be safe than sorry.

Unfortunately for Beal, the promising rookie shooting guard couldn’t even survive another full game. After experiencing some discomfort in his ankle and having another hard fall in the Wizards’ win on Tuesday over Chicago, Beal had an MRI exam that revealed a season-ending stress injury in his right fibula. Surgery isn’t required, but the team announced in a statement that he would be able to return to basketball-related activities in approximately six weeks.
