A couple years ago when Brian Scalabrine left Boston and landed in Chicago the Bulls fans embraced Scalabrine more than anyone could have expected. He was quickly nicknamed “The White Mamba” as an obvious play on the nickname of LA’s Kobe Bryant, “The Black Mamba”. Now that Scalabrine has retired and taking up a position in sportscasting, he is ready to talk about his nickname.
