It’s been nearly 3 years in the making since it was announced that the New Jersey Nets were making the move to NYC’s biggest borough to be transformed into the Brooklyn Nets for next season.
It’s been a tedious process rebuilding the roster and constructing the Association’s most extravagant new arena called the ‘Barclays Center’ in preparation for the new look Nets’ first game of the year on November 1st against their crosstown rival New York Knicks.
Back in April, their new Jay Z inspired black and white logo was leaked by an arena employee and just last week, the Barclay’s Center officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by any and all media dignitaries as well as New York mayor Bloomberg.
The Barclays Center’s first official booking just happens to be an already sold out concert by part Nets owner Jay-Z on September 28th before numerous concerts and sporting events featuring Green Day, Rush, Barbara Streisand, and a Harlem Globetrotters game.
Although we saw a sneak peek of the new Barclays Center floor last month, here are a few more in depth pics along with one photo leaked of their new uniforms…..
