Playing in the annual McDonald’s HS All American Game is almost a golden ticket to super-stardom on the collegiate or professional level. Since 1977, legendary players like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, to Shaquille O’Neal have all gotten their initial national exposure from playing in the McDonald’s Game.
In honor of the Game’s 35th Anniversary in 2012, the Top 35 McDonald’s All Americans of All Time were announced and include a who’s who from the realm of NCAA and NBA basketball like Dwight Howard, Lebron James, and James Worthy.
While last years rosters contained some of the college ranks’ best freshmen this season like Austin Rivers, Anthony Davis, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the 2012 edition of the McDonald’s All American Game will no doubt feature the next batch of future stars.
Be sure to watch this year’s game when East and West clash on March 28 @9:30 PM ET on ESPN at the United Center in Chicago.
