Even though they have won 3 straight, some feel as if the Knicks have underachieved so far this year. What has hampered them most this season has been PG play. Toney Douglas lost his starting gig to rookie Iman Shumpert, but Iman is more of a scorer than facilitator. That leaves Baron Davis, who is slated to return soon:
Jared Jeffries could return Saturday at Oklahoma City, D’Antoni said. Jeffries hasn’t played since Christmas with a calf strain.
The Knicks need the bench help after they scored just three points from their subs last night.
D’Antoni said he’s still counting on Baron Davis to return in late January.
