A current rising trend among people is purchasing specific clothing to be worn with certain sneakers they buy instead of doing the other way around like most are custom to, but how many times do those pairs have historic meaning? A member of Kicks-Lab forums had two Georgetown Hoyas jerseys on display with an early pair of this December’s ‘Concord’ Air Jordan XI even adding props to the mix by showing, on his iPad, a basketball card of Allen Iverson wearing an original pair during a game. Whether the member was an A.I fan back during his days in a Hoyas jersey remains to be seen but this is a display that anyone can appreciate.
The jersey hookup with the sneakers is a good enough fit by itself but incase the owner wanted to go above and beyond to really rep the Hoyas they would just have to reach for their Georgetown Hoyas fitted which, incidentally, matches the XIs pretty well. Even though black isn’t the primary color on the shoe the black with the white off stitching connects well to accent the white that is sometimes overtaken by the dark patent leather.
We are also now hearing that with the release of the Concords Jordan Brand has kicked the standard $175 Air Jordan 11 retail price up to $180. This is also just a rumor around the web so until final retail packaging is done we wont know for sure.
