We all know that 7 time NBA rebounding champion Dennis Rodman was a bit eccentric during his playing career. Despite his immense talents at clearing the glass and as a lock-down defender, “The Worm” made nearly as many headlines away from the hardwood as when he played a big part in helping his teammates with the Pistons and Bulls win 5 NBA Titles.
Probably most memorable were his on and off relationships with Carmen Electra and Madonna, kicking a cameraman sitting court side, headbutting referees, and staging his own wedding….to himself to promote his first autobiography. That’s not even mentioning the numerous television and radio appearances on Celebrity Apprentice, Sober House, and the always entertaining Howard Stern Show.
Oh by the way, Rodman is also a part time professional wrestler, starring alongside Hulk Hogan for a stint with NWO as “Rodzilla.” Dennis has also starred in a number of bad movies like most namely Double Team with Jean-Claude Van Damme, the action/comedy Simon Sez, and the very forgettable 2000 penned skydiving flick Cutaway with Tom Berenger.
Cutting to the chase, Rodman has always perceived himself to be more of an entertainer than a basketball player even though statistically, he ranks as the best rebounding forward of all-time. So when Dennis decided to party at a nightclub in Las Vegas for his 50th birthday, why would we expect anything less than an over the top celebration featuring semi nude chicks, Rodman dressed in a lacy camisole, tons of alcohol and piercings, and the unveiling of his new line of cigars.
