Byron Scott is far-and-away my first choice to take over the Lakers coaching spot. Scott has won three titles as a player with the Lakers, and he coached the Nets to back-to-back Finals appearances. Also, Scott briefly played along side Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher. However, as the Cleveland Plain Dealer has reported, the Cavs will not allow the Lakers to contact Scott, a petty move if you ask me.
