Raptors Mascot Eats Cheerleader [Video]

February 16, 2010 – Allen Moll

As if this season wasn’t bad enough this season for the Nets, by trying to hedge off becoming the worst team in NBA history (9-73 Sixers), now the most entertaining elements about any of their games is during the time-outs? It’s apparently just too easy to poke fun and destroy the product that Nets management are putting on the floor, so now fans can look forward to the mascots and cheerleader skits instead.

In a game between the playoff bound Toronto Raptors and the NBA Lottery bound NJ Nets, Toronto’s loveable mascot, a.k.a. Rap-Tor, showed that he has a nasty streak by……………devouring a Toronto Raptors cheerleader!

His go-to move of eating cheerleaders is always a crowd pleaser and has even started to earn some national recognition by earning him the ’08 NBA Mascot of the Year. The usually kind-hearted inflatable mascot has been doing his shtick for years now. Some of his more memorable tricks involve poking fun at Lebron’s dance moves and he has been know to eat some University of Buffalo cheerleaders as well.

Couldn’t Rap-Tor have helped to put us out of our misery by choosing to eat one of the Nets’ players like Yi, Courtney, or T-Will? Listen to the announcer, Ian Eagle, giving us some great commentary of the mascot devouring the cheerleader:
