Pau Gasol made his not-so-triumphant return to the court last night. Pau has been out for a while nursing an injury, and he expected to play big minutes. The Lakers barely got by the Bobcats (101 – 100 victory) and down the stretch, Mike D’Antoni decided to put Gasol somewhere he isn’t used to being: the bench.
Needless to say, Pau wasn’t happy. The Mike D’Antoni experiment isn’t going too well so far.
“When the game is on the line, I need to be on the court. That’s what I get paid to do.”
Gasol also said: “Hopefully, that won’t happen too often.”
