The Washington Wizards just plain stink again this season. They are now 1-12 on the year, and are showing no signs of improvement. The main criticism of the Wizards is that they are too selfish and only care about getting their own stats and highlight reel plays. And for as much as I’d love to defend the Wiz, it’s getting really hard to when they make bonehead plays like JaVale McGee did last night in the third quarter of their loss to the Houston Rockets.
With his team trailing (again), McGee had a wide open fast break. Instead of simply dunking the ball and moving on, he decided to put on a bit of a show by throwing the ball off the backboard to himself for the dunk. Not surprisingly McGee was benched by Coach Flip Saunders for the rest of the game. Anyone else have flashback’s of Ricky Davis’ triple double?
