As the years have gone by, sneaker companies have begun taking some of their most popular silhouettes, and during the NCAA season constructing a limited set for the college programs they endorse. In this case adidas Basketball takes the signature sneakers of their two biggest players, Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard, and working them into Aggies Maroon-like colorways.
The adiZero Rose 2 – ‘Texas A&M Edition’ has a home court feel to it which comes from the white toebox, branding, laces, and mostly white upper. The front of this Rose 2 is made of the same anodized material seen on the ‘Windy City’ edition.
This adiPower Howard definitely looks more like an away shoe due to the minimal white seen on the sneaker; the exact opposite of what the Texas A&M Edition adiZero Rose 2 has. Just like the previous sneaker, the branding and signature are done in white helping it to stand out.
Both pairs were given to select members of the Texas A&M Aggies basketball team and were even worn by a few during this past saturday’s game against the Florida Gators. As of right now neither of the Texas A&M Edition adidas adiPower or adiZero Rose 2 have a release date but keep checking our Kicks section for info as it becomes available to us through adidas.
