Kobe Takes a Dip Into the Fountain of Youth at Okafor’s Expense

April 27, 2011 – Kevin Burke

Last night the Lakers took a 3 – 2 lead over the Hornets with a very important win in Los Angeles. Heading into the game, that eventual win was in doubt because Kobe Bryant rolled his ankle on Game 4 and had to leave the arena on crutches as a result. So we didn’t know how he’d bounce back. Although he only played 29 minutes, I think it’s safe to say the ankle and foot are just fine. Emeka Okafor can attest to that.

I don’t know if Kobe took a dip in the fountain of youth or the Hot Tub Time Machine during a commercial break, but I did not think those 32-year-old legs still had this in them. When he exploded to the rim, I thought he was going to lay the ball in but he did just the opposite. Looks like he’s healthy.
