Cody Zeller Out Indefinitely With Torn Meniscus in Left Knee

It has been a rough few days for the Charlotte Hornets.

After learning that their head coach and leader Steve Clifford will be taking a leave of absence for personal health reasons and being manhandled at home by a very lethal Kevin Durant at his most dangerous, they will now be without their highly underrated front court piece Cody Zeller for quite a while it appears.

The team announced that he suffered the injury in the 3rd quarter of the Hornets loss on Wednesday.

Zeller could need surgery depending on the severity of the tear and is being evaluated by team doctors.

Zeller averages 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Hornets in 20 minutes per game and gives them a boost with his energy and ability to score around the rim.

This is bad news for a team that is currently 9-14 and already hanging on the perimeter of the playoff picture.

Frank Kaminsky will become that much more valuable for the Hornets moving forward.
