Kyle Lowry belongs in the NBA’s MVP conversation, according to Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey.
Casey reasoning?
He’s no fool.
Per MassLive.com’s Jay King:
Casey considers Lowry in MVP convo: "It's like asking me do I think my wife is beautiful. And I would tell you yeah because I gotta go home"

Let’s not mince any words here: This is awesome. The Raptors are so goddamn fun, it’s contagious. You can’t help but root for them to get out of the second round; you can’t help but appreciate the obvious bonds shared between DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry, and now clearly coach and player. This is great stuff.
Kyle Lowry, for the record, certainly deserves some MVP shine—not real consideration, because Stephen Curry exists, but most definitely some backsplash.
Only two players have ever averaged at least 20 points, six assists and two steals per game while shooting at least 39 percent from deep for an entire season: Larry Bird and Steph Curry.
Lowry, according to Basketball-Reference, is about to become the third.
That’s flat-out absurd, and it’s only a taste of what Lowry, who also ranks in the top five of win shares and box plus-minus is doing for the Raptors. He helped put them on the map. He is, truly, their most valuable player.
No, that’s not an actual MVP honor, but it’s more than prestigious enough.
