Jordan Clarkson Is Inspired by Stephen Curry

Steph Curry Jordan Clarkson

Jordan Clarkson is just like the rest of us.

Meaning?

He’s inspired by our new NBA overlord, Stephen Curry.

Per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Times:

It’s sometimes difficult to remember that Curry was once an underdog. I mean, it teeters on impossible to imagine him doing anything other than destroying and humiliating and completely and thoroughly owning the rest of the league.

But there was a time when he wasn’t this sure thing—a lock to win MVP awards and go down as one of the greatest players ever. People doubted the strength of his ankles, and they wondered whether his slight frame and perceived softness could succeed at the NBA level. Opponents were bigger, stronger, maybe even faster. Curry, meanwhile, was just a shooter. A specialist. A basketball novelty.

But no more.

Curry is a lock to repeat as the NBA’s MVP, he has overtaken LeBron James as the Association’s best player, something Kevin Durant never did, and he’s reinvented the way we look at the game of basketball.

In other words, Clarkson knows how to pick his idols.
