Kyle Korver Suffers Broken Nose

korvernoseHaving all but wrapped up the #1 seed in the East, the Atlanta Hawks have been resting players here and there as they gear up for the playoffs. Last night vs. the Lakers, Paul Millsap, Al Horford and Jeff Teague were all given the night off. Maybe Kyle Korver wishes he sat out too.

In the second quarter, Korver ran into Ed Davis and suffered a broken nose. He left the game and did not return. He’ll likely return with a mask but who knows how much more of him we’ll be seeing in the regular season.

Korver caught a shoulder from the Lakers’ Ed Davis, who was charged with an offensive foul. Korver’s nose immediately began to bleed and he was taken to the locker room for examination.

Korver played just 10 minutes without a point before leaving. Korver’s 51-game streak with a 3-pointer will end. It was the second-longest streak of his career, second to his NBA-record 127-game streak.
