So by now, you’ve probably all heard that former New Jersey Nets star Jayson Williams was in a car accident following an apparent driving while intoxicated incident. When will this guy ever learn? I know ‘people make mistakes’ and all, but after ‘accidentally’ shooting and killing his driver a few years ago while under the influence of alcohol, and getting off the hook with the authorities, you would think Williams would have learned his lesson and laid of the booze.
Why can’t people just be happy with their freedom and the fact that they are not behind bars. Well in this latest run-in with the law for Williams, he’s having to deal with it all from his hospital bed. Even though he’s is in and out of consciousness, the authorities are not granting him any leeway. If Williams is not able to make it to court to be arraigned, they will bring the court to him, via video streaming! Oh, the wonders of modern technology huh, Jay Will?
TMZ tonight reported the following about the events tomorrow for Jayson Williams:
Jayson Williams will be arraigned Thursday morning — from his hospital bed, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.
Williams is still in Bellevue Hospital’s criminal ward recovering from serious injuries he suffered in a car accident Tuesday morning — he was charged with DWI in the wreck.
We’re told a camera will be setup in Williams’ hospital room so the arraignment can be videocast to Manhattan Supreme Court.
Sources who visited the hosptial tell us Williams was not in great shape today — saying he was in and out of consciousness.
