If you thought Gilbert Arenas had problems stemming from attempting to comeback after numerous knee injuries and for calling out his teammates on the Wizards disastrous beginning of the season, you don’t know the half of it. Gilbert has even bigger issues in his personal life, dealing with his fiance, Laura Govan’s supposed affair with Shaquille O’Neal and the consequential drama over the paternity of their 3 children (2 current and 1 on the way). Things have gotten so bad recently that Gil has moved out of the home that they shared.

I thinks it is a safe bet that he won’t be crashing at Brendan Haywood or Caron Butler’s house since he basically tore them a new one by criticizing them over the Wizards lack of effort and accepting the mountain of losses this year. He even has gone so far as to ask for paternity tests for his 2 young children and his unborn child with Govan, who is due around Christmas. If the special delivery arrives with a Superman Logo on his arm, I think Gil would go ballistic.

The whole drama has broken apart two NBA families. The issue surfaced more than a year ago with rumors of Laura Govan’s ongoing affair with Shaquille O’Neal. The two have apparently been creeping around for the past 5 years. The kicker is that Laura Govan is was Shaq’s wife, Shaunie O’Neal’s best friend……………. Talk about drama.  Since the dirty laundry was made public, Shaunie and Shaq have since filed for divorce in November and now Arenas and Govan have temporarily split.

One would assume that although it is all rumor to date that the story may actually have legs since Shaq has been very quiet recently. The Twitter-aholic O’Neal usually burns up the web with his constant double digit posts daily on the social media site. Until last week, he was very business-like in his updates, basically giving out only news about charity events.

Talk about the NBA’s version of Days of Our Lives. If we end up stumbling upon more concrete information (facts), we will be sure to keep you updated. In the mean time if you like NBA drama, you may want to check out this new reality show.
