JR Smith has surprisingly been playing well lately. This past Sunday, late in a nationally televised game vs. the Thunder, Smith fell to the ground awkwardly and hit his face on Kevin Durant’s knee on the way to the ground.
Smith stayed down on the ground for several minutes and it was announced by the team today that Smith has a small fracture in his cheekbone.
Smith was injured with 7:25 left in the fourth quarter of the 112-100 loss when his face collided with Thunder forward Kevin Durant’s knee.
Smith was fitted for a facemask on Tuesday and is expected to play on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings.
