It was recently reported that the Phoenix Suns are interested in trading for Pau Gasol. One way or another, you get the sense Pau won’t be in a Laker uniform by the end of this season.
Phoenix has a bunch of draft picks and an expiring contract (Emeka Okafor), so they definitely have assets. However, they first want to see how Pau Gasol performs once he returns from his groin injury. He had been playing very well lately, so we’ll see.
Sources told ESPN.com that, while there is substantive interest on both sides, it’s believed Suns officials want to see how Gasol recovers from a strained groin before deciding whether to take talks to the next level. …
