Watch: Miami Heat 2013 Championship Ring Ceremony

It was a glorious 2012-2013 NBA campaign for the Miami Heat that started back in October with an opening night blowout win over their chief rival Boston Celtics, met in the middle by an amazing 27 game winning streak, leading to a franchise record 66 regular season wins, and culminating in the team’s 3rd NBA Title in the past 8 seasons.

After the Heat’s back-to-back title runs in 2012 and 2013, and virtually the entire roster returning, has them in serious contention to potentially be the NBA’s first 3 peat winner since the 2000-2002 LA Lakers.

But before that magical 3 peat run could begin with a 2013 opening night match-up with the Chicago Bulls, it was time ro raise another banner inside Continental Airlines Arena and the players to receive their diamond studded 2013 NBA Championship rings.

One by one, everyone from the scouting and coaching staff, upper management, and finally every player from last season’s roster were announced by NBA Commissioner David Stern to parade up to the podium to validate a hard fought, record setting season with some more championship hardware.

While the Chicago Bulls were vocal about not coming out of the locker room to witness the ring bearing ceremony, they had to be just a little bit jealous as one of their rivals once again took home yet another championship chip.

Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh, known affectionately as Miami’s “Big 3” and core of the back-to-back champions were all smiles, posing in front of the camera and hugging teammates before once again getting back to business and promptly taking it to the Bulls and spoiling Derrick Rose’s official return with a dominating 107-95 win.
