NBA Power Rankings

1

Boston Celtics

Boston Celtics

Will their legs be this fresh in April? No. Can their experience overcome that, probably.

2

Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets

Melo is emerging. And Billups will keep the ship steadied.

3

Los Angeles Lakers

Los Angeles Lakers

Bryant, Gasol, Odom, Artest, Bynum when everyone is on the floor is dominant. For now this is where they land until they get healthy.

4

Orlando Magic

Orlando Magic

Arguably still one of the best team in the NBA. Suffered losses with Vince and Rashard out, but surprisingly still winning games.

5

Atlanta Hawks

Atlanta Hawks

Joe Johnson AKA Joe Cool is lighting it up and will be an MVP candidate.

6

San Antonio Spurs

San Antonio Spurs

Have not shown what they are capable of in their three games played.

7

Phoenix Suns

Phoenix Suns

Steve Nash is an MVP candidate. The run and gun is back. They have been surprisingly good thus far, it will be interesting to see if they can hold pace.

8

Dallas Mavericks

Dallas Mavericks

Dirk is playing great and the team is learning on the fly.

9

Cleveland Cavaliers

Cleveland Cavaliers

I am not drinking the Shaquille O’Neal kool-aid.

10

Portland Trailblazers

Portland Trailblazers

Losses to Rockets, Nuggets, and Hawks, three of the best NBA teams.

11

Oklahoma City Thunder

Oklahoma City Thunder

Beating teams you should beat is the first step.

12

Houston Rockets

Houston Rockets

A team playing well.

13

Utah Jazz

Utah Jazz

Losses to Mavericks, Rocktes, Nuggets, three of the best.

14

Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers

Losses to Lakers, Suns, Jazz, and Mavericks, four of the best in the NBA.

15

Toronto Raptors

Toronto Raptors

Like the roster but you cannot lose to Memphis.

16

Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers

Still learning how to get Elton Brand involved.

17

Miami Heat

Miami Heat

Victories against Indiana, New York, Chicago Washington, not exactly world-beaters.

18

Chicago Bulls

Chicago Bulls

Derrick Rose has struggled and the Bulls loss to Miami hurt.

19

Detroit Pistons

Detroit Pistons

They beat the Magic and Ben Gordon might average 25ppg.

20

Washington Wizards

Washington Wizards

They beat a good Dallas team but have struggled against better teams.

21

Charlotte Bobcats

Charlotte Bobcats

They have not played well and my 8th seed pick does not look good but I still think they are out of the John Wall Sweepstakes.

22

Milwaukee Bucks

Milwaukee Bucks

Not sure how Brandon Jennings and John Wall would play together but it would make things interesting in Milwaukee again.

23

Golden State Warriors

Golden State Warriors

Could Nelly pass up a great PG prospect?

24

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves

Another PG in Minny (Rubio, Flynn, Sessions, Wall)?

25

Sacramento Kings

Sacramento Kings

They already drafted Tyreke Evans and have Kevin Martin but John Wall can only help this struggling team and that is a nasty backcourt.

26

Indiana Pacers

Indiana Pacers

John Wall would fit perfectly in Indiana.

27

New York Knicks

New Orleans Hornets

Hornets have been nothing what people expected from them. The only bright spot has been the tandem of CP3 and Okafor.

28

Memphis Grizzlies

Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies passed on Ricky Rubio (mistake) and might have the opportunity to make another mistake by passing on Wall.

29

New Jersey Nets

New Jersey Nets

A backcourt of Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, Terrence Williams, Chris Douglas – Roberts and John Wall is scary.

30

New Orleans Hornets

New York Knicks

The Utah Jazz have the Knicks pick (thanks Isiah) and other than Danilo Gallinari this team is awful.

21 and 27 both say Hornets, and the Warriors should be in dead last… and that’s for sure. Some actual insight would help too.

How the hell can you have the Hawks above the Suns? What the fuck are you smoking? Did you not see the Suns beat the Celtics, and everyone else on their trip out East, save for the Magic? Seriously… you are fucking tripping. The Suns deserve a top 3, especially since two of their wins came against teams with only ONE LOSS! I guess it makes sense though, since Mr. Special Ed also put the HEAT (6-1) way below the Clippers (3-5).

Wow!! Your lack of knowledge for basketball is pretty pathetic! You put the Clippers above the Heat! Wow and Phoenix @ 7!!! Did you put this together 5 minutes before it was due into your editor?

Wow… a Wall Reference (joke?) on 8 out of the last 10 teams on the Rankings. That is smart and subtle writing. Other writers would kick themselves in the head, if they realized that they had something this obvious twice on the list after already submitting it. Respect to your confidence in yourself though…

P.S.: I see the December PR were written by someone else, if you lost the job due to poor writing skills, I still feel bad for you.
