The Philadelphia 76ers and Doug Collins parts ways shortly after the season ended. Because so much time has elapsed since then, most actually forgot all about their head coaching search. Recently, all has been quiet on the Sixers coaching carousel front, until today.
It was rumored on Friday, but it became official today: the Sixers have hired Spurs assistant Brett Brow who certainly comes in with good pedigree.
The Brett Brown coaching era is officially underway in Philadelphia.
League sources have confirmed to CSNPhilly.com that the Sixers have hired the former San Antonio Spurs assistant coach to lead their franchise for the next four years.
Brown becomes the eighth coach in the past 11 years to lead the Sixers.
