Minnesota Timberwolves to Sign Kevin Martin

If you were under the belief that the Thunder should’ve figured out a way to pay James Harden, you now have more ammo. Harden’s replacement, Kevin Martin, will no longer be a member of the Thunder. Minnesota has signed Martin away from OKC.

Martin never completely filled Harden’s void, but he will still be missed. But this opens up other financial opportunities for OKC.

Kevin Martin has reached an agreement on a four-year, $28 million contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Martin, 30, averaged 14 points on 45 percent shooting for the Oklahoma City Thunder this past season. He came to the Thunder as part of the preseason trade that sent James Harden to the Houston Rockets.

Martin has averaged 17.8 points in nine NBA seasons, distinguishing himself as a dependable 3-point threat.
