Clifford has been away from the team since December 6th due to severe headaches.
The Hornets have gone 6-11 in their past 17 games with Clifford out and lead assistant Stephen Silas (Son of NBA legend Paul Silas) leading the team in his absence.
Steve Clifford will return to practice on on the 15th and will coach the team two nights later against the Washington Wizards on the 17th, according to the team’s press release.
Clifford is one of the better and most well-respected coaches and defensive minds in the NBA, so you can expect the Hornets play to have a bit of an uptick upon his return.
