While it doesn’t really show up in the box score, Luc Richard Mbah A Moute is a very useful NBA player that provides value to the Houston Rockets.
Mbah a Moute averages 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 25 minutes per game for the Rockets on 45% shooting, but the skill he provides the Rockets is simple: defense.
He is a +2.0 in defensive plus/minus and his length, size and quickness at 6’8″ 230 lbs. allows him to guard a number of positions while playing the four for the Houston Rockets.
They are going to be missing that size and versatility for the next two to three weeks.
MRI on right shoulder of Houston Rockets forward Luc Mbah a Moute revealed no significant issues, and there's optimism that he could return within two-to-three weeks, league source tells ESPN.

The Rockets are pretty thin at the power forward position outside of Ryan Anderson who is a terrible NBA defender, and this will affect them and force Mike D’Antoni to expand his rotation if he is smart.
Troy Williams may get some opportunities for the Rockets over the next few weeks, especially if he can defend and knock down a few three-pointers.
