The Nuggets chances to return to the playoffs in 2018 just took a big hit.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nuggets veteran power forward and big-time free agency acquisition is expected to miss 3 months of actions after undergoing surgery on his injured wrist.

Paul Millsap suffered the injury in the 2nd quarter of the Nuggets 127-109 loss to the Lakers on Sunday. He has averaged 16.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Nuggets this season, who seemed to be playing better basketball in recent weeks after a rough start.
The Nuggets will definitely miss Millsap’s ability to defend and spread the floor. You can expect Kenneth Faried, Wilson Chandler and Trey Lyles to all garner more minutes and opportunities in Millsap’s absence.
Because of the Nuggets putrid point guard situation (they don’t have one), this will put even more pressure and responsibility on Nikola Jokic to score and create offensive opportunities for others in the coming months.
Paul Millsap should be back after All-Star weekend. We’ll see if the Nuggets are still in the thick of the playoff race at that time…
