Michael Jordan may be the most decorated and profitable athlete in the history of American sports.
He is giving back part of that wealth in order to help his home community of Charlotte, North Carolina by donating $7 million to fund two medical clinics for at-risk communities in the Charlotte area.

This is the largest charitable donation that Jordan has ever made, in-line with his recent willingness to be more outspoken on issues facing the country including race and inequality. This is in contrast to his traditional decision to stay out of political and societal matters altogether, famously once exclaiming “Republicans buy shoes too”.
The donation will fund two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinics, which will open in 2020.
Pretty awesome to see Michael Jordan being more involved in the Charlotte community and sparking real change with his philanthropy.
