Many players around the league and many New York sports fans have let their support of Charles Oakley be known after he was removed forcibly and very publicly from the Knicks-Clippers game Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
LeBron has been one of the most vocal NBA players on the situation posting an Instragam photo on Thursday featuring Oakley and simply saying “Mood. #legend”
He took it a step further Thursday night after the Cavaliers 119-111 loss to the Thunder, giving a rare 25 second statement to the media praising his team for going 3-1 on their road trip and praising Russell Westbrook for yet another triple-double.
He then decided to end the comment by endorsing Charles Oakley for president.
Pretty funny stuff, a not so subtle jab at the Knicks organization and at the current P.O.T.U.S.
LeBron has a relationship with Oakley as he has been around the team for the past few years and LeBron also said he called him to see how he was after Wednesday night’s ordeal.
Let’s imagine a world with Charles Oaklay as the President of the United States, can’t be much crazier than the current reality that we exist in right?
