It finally happened fam: Former Philadelphia 76ers general manager/author of “The Process” tallied an All-Star vote on Joel Embiid’s behalf.
Granted, Hinkie’s ballot was not unsolicited; Embiid coerced him into action with this tweet:
I wonder who @samhinkie is gonna vote for All Star.. Gotta do it for the culture

Sam Hinkie responded with this shortly thereafter:
I got you

Hot damn, that’s a lot of votes in one shot.
The fan vote only accounts for half of the All-Star starter criteria this year, so even if this thing gets a kajillion retweets, Embiid most likely won’t earn the starting nod. Players and media members will award the honor to a more experienced player.
Embiid does, however, have a legitimate shot at making the Eastern Conference All-Star squad as a reserve. His per-game output hasn’t been seen from a rookie since Tim Duncan, and the Sixers are playing opponents almost evenly when he’s on the floor, according to NBA.com.
It’s almost like Hinkie’s Process always had merit and is starting to pay off as planned or something.
