Russell Westbrook is putting up some ridiculous numbers so far this season. With Kevin Durant’s departure, we saw this coming. Even so, 32.0, 9.7 and 9.9 are hard to fathom.
He has to do it all for his team, and when he’s out of the game, the team is borderline unwatchable. The team is 7-5 and should be a relevant team when it comes time to see who will make the playoffs.
Before Wednesday’s Thunder – Rockets matchup, former teammate James Harden was asked his thoughts on Russell’s contributions to his team. His response didn’t exactly sound flattering, and it’s pretty ironic given how he has been known to dominate the ball in Houston.
“It’s Russ. It’s Russ, and it’s a one-man show,” Harden said Tuesday about how different the Thunder is without Kevin Durant.
