Kevin Durant’s addition in Golden State means we’ll see less individual greatness from Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. In Klay’s case, you could make the strong argument that he didn’t get the ball enough a season ago. He was very consistent for them down the stretch in the playoffs, and dug them out of some holes. But now that KD is in town, he’ll get even less touches.
The same goes for Steph. Don’t expect a third consecutive MVP this upcoming season. But then again, Curry to have been aware of that when he recruited Durant. You can also say goodbye to Curry setting another 3-point record because Durant will be taking away some of those shots.
Steve Kerr agrees:
'I think Steph probably knows he's not hitting 400 threes this year. He knows.' — Steve Kerr, on shots divided among post-Durant #Warriors.
