After a long off-season, Ty Lawson has finally found a home for the 2016-17 season in Sacramento.

Lawson had a very rough season and saw his value as a player crater for reasons on and off the court. Lawson struggled mightily after being dealt to the Houston Rockets in the off-season and after being released played a very minimal role for the Indiana Pacers.
He has also dealt with the some addiction issues off the court that have compounded the tail spin the former borderline All-star point guard has been in since 2015.
Lawson averaged 16.4 points and 7.9 assists his final four seasons in Denver before experiencing the worst season of his career in 2015-16. He fell out of the rotation in Houston and never really entered it in Indiana while he averaged only 5.7 points and 3.6 assists in 21 minutes per game and shot under 40 percent from the field.
Ty Lawson has seen his shooting percentages drop steadily in recent seasons and needs to regain his shooting touch to help him regain his form as a solid starting point guard.
Sacramento may be the best place for Lawson to have the opportunity to start or get big minutes as they are pretty bare at the point guard position and their only returning player is Darren Collison, who is dealing with a domestic violence issue.
Ty Lawson will turn 29 the first week of the season and should still be in his prime in theory, we’ll see if he can use Sacramento to get his career back on track, much like Rajon Rondo did last season.
