The Kings also released a statement on the matter, per CSNBayArea.com:
“We’ve been made aware of the situation. The Sacramento Kings condemn violence of any kind. We are gathering additional information and once all facts are known we will take appropriate steps.”
Collison, 28, has spent each of the last two seasons with the Sacramento Kings. Before that, he had stops with the Los Angeles Clippers, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Hornets. He averaged 14 points and 4.3 assists on 48.6 percent shooting, including a 40-plus percent clip from three-point land, in 2015-16.
Though Collison started for the Kings in 2014-15, he spent most of his time as a reserve in 2015-16, behind Rajon Rondo. He has one year valued at just over $5.2 million left on his current contract.
We’ll relay any other information we see on the matter as it unfolds.
