The Cavaliers were surprised by the Raptors in game 3 in Toronto, as they were convincingly defeated. From the onset, Toronto just seemed hungrier than Cleveland.
Perhaps the defeat really got to some Cavs players because in garbage time, seldom-used Dahntay Jones was inserted into the game and punched Bismack Biyombo in a certain area. It’s not confirmed that Jones intended to his Biyombo there, but it was enough for Jones to be suspended 1 game and fined by the league. He doesn’t see the court much, so it truly has no impact on this series.
But apparently LeBron doesn’t think the fine was warranted and he has even volunteered to pay the fine for Jones.
LeBron James said he intends to cover the fine imposed on Cleveland Cavaliers reserve Dahntay Jones for the one-game suspension he received for punching Bismack Biyombo in the groin at the end of Game 3.
