LeBron Doesn’t Think Kerr Deserved Coach of the Year

Steve-Kerr

LeBron doesn’t exactly seem to be jumping for joy over the individual awards for members of the Warriors. He praised Steph Curry for his unanimous MVP, but did so in a back-handed manner.

Well, he’s not done there. LeBron doesn’t believe that Steve Kerr was deserving of Coach of the Year. He may have a good point here. Kerr was still healing up from his physical ailments while his team was winning 24 games in a row on Luke Walton’s watch.

This is one of those rare teams that can run on auto-pilot. The personnel works extremely well together and the on-court chemistry is unmatched.

“I think Terry Stotts should have been or could have been Coach of the Year. I can’t remember the last time that I’ve seen a team lose four starters and still be in the same position as far as the postseason success they had.

“I mean they lost Batum, they lost Matthews, they lost Robin and they lost LaMarcus in the off-season and the only returning starter was Dame [Damian Lillard].”

LeBron is right in that Terry Stotts did a remarkable job, but he probably should’ve punted on giving his opinion here.
