If you’ve ever wondered just how unfair it can be sometimes for an NBA coach, consider the rumor that Byron Scott may be let go this off-season as Lakers coach.
The roster is full of very young players and very old players, so that’s a recipe for missing the playoffs. Scott was dealt a somewhat bad hand, but his youngsters have been playing well of late.
Perhaps that’s part of the reason he says he’ll stop benching young players in the fourth quarter of games.
Byron Scott says he is done benching young players for the fourth quarter. Going forward, they will play in fourth quarter “no matter what.”
