It has been a rough five months for Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.
The former number two pick in the 2012 NBA Draft tore his labrum in the preseason and went from a guy expected to breakout with a larger role to someone who may miss the entire season.
He recovered quickly and returned on January 29, averaging 12 points and six rebounds in seven games before tearing his labrum in the same shoulder during the Hornets final game before the all-star break.
Kidd-Gilchrist will now undergo surgery and officially miss the remainder of the season.
