Ty Lawson’s previous DUIs seem like a lifetime ago, but he still hasn’t been punished by the league. Even though he’s in Houston now, the NBA has come down and suspended the PG for two games for his past transgressions.
Houston Rockets’ guard Ty Lawson has been suspended for two games without pay for driving while impaired, a violation incurred under the law of the State of Colorado, the NBA announced today.
Lawson’s suspension will begin with tomorrow night’s game between the Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Ty Lawson’s second incident is what ultimately got him shipped out of Denver. That and Emmanuel Mudiay’s arrival. One would have thought he would’ve been a good fit in Houston, but he hasn’t contributed as much as expected and is now coming off the bench behind Patrick Beverly.
