At 12-9, the Clippers are right in the middle of the pack of the Western Conference, but many thought their record would be a bit better. But in their defense, it’s still early December so there’s plenty of basketball left to be played.
But even so, the team has reportedly try shopping some of their key recent acquisitions in attempt to shake up the roster a bit. Namely, Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith. Of the two, Doc Rivers would have a much better chance at moving Stephenson.
The Los Angeles Clippers gauged trade interest in Lance Stephenson and Josh Smith last month, league sources told Yahoo Sports….
Two NBA executives told Yahoo Sports that the Clippers would have hard time trading the struggling newcomers who have not fit in well during the team’s slow start….
“There is not much of a market for them,” one NBA executive said. “They are buyout candidates. Maybe Lance goes back to Indiana, you never know. You won’t get back much for them.”
