Hassan Whiteside continues to show that is a budding star at the center position and absolute monster in the paint as he recorded his second career triple-double last night with 22 points, 14 rebounds and 10 blocks in 34 minutes against the T’Wolves.
Whiteside had the triple-double locked down in the 3rd quarter and is the only player in the NBA to record a triple double with blocks in the past 8 years and has now done it twice as he had 14 points, 13 rebounds and 12 blocks in only 24 minutes against the Bulls on Jan. 15.
There are only 13 other players who have accomplished this feat since 1987 including Dikembe Mutumbo, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, Marcus Camby, Shawn Bradley and Shaq.
Whiteside I currently leading the NBA with 4.6 blocks per game and 3rd in rebounding with 11.9 rebounds per game.
