For the latest edition to Nike’s popular “What If…” series, instead of taking panels from a bunch of the previous colorways of the silhouette that released, the ‘What If…” Nike LeBron 12 gets its inspiration from some of the standout signature Nike athletes from when LeBron was a youth.
A close inspection will yield design ques from the sneakers of Ken Griffey Jr, Bo Jackson, and of course Michael Jordan. The ‘What If’ LeBron 12s also gives a nod to some of James’ favorite sports teams like the Ohio State Buckeyes and New York Yankees.
This is the third ‘What The…” release of the LeBron James signature series with Nike (although there are a few samples of the LeBron 9 mashup floating around).
The ‘What The…” Nike LeBron 12 releases on Saturday, September 26th for $250.
