Even though Kyrie Irving’s history was heavily nurtured throughout his time in New Jersey while growing up, his roots were birth in Australia since his father played professional basketball over there. So the new ‘Australia’ Nike Kyrie 1 pays homage to that by using colors loosely inspired by Australian National Basketball uniform team colors.
This color-blocking seems to be the unofficial colorway of Kyrie Irving with it being used on his Player Edition pairs of the original Hyperrev and Lunar Hyperdunk 2012.
