Up until recently, you never heard players or coaches complain about the NBA regular season being too long. But for some reason, so many guys have gotten hurt during the season, which has caused an outcry for shortening the regular season. The regular season being 82 games allows for players to get paid what they do. If the season were cut, salaries would have to be cut too. That just makes logical sense.
However, Adam Silver has heard the complaints and stated this morning on ESPN Radio’s Mike and Mike that the regular season may be extended by a week. That’s not a whole lot, but it does allow for more breathing room in between games.
"I haven't discussed shortening the season. We're looking at adding a week to the reg. season next year."–Adam Silver pic.twitter.com/LZ8jzFGKqK
