Western Conference Odds Updated as Tony Allen Vows to Bounce Back Game 5

tonygame5predictionrThe Golden State Warriors dismantled the Memphis Grizzles start to finish on Monday night to even the series at two games apiece. Stephen Curry scored 33 points and four different Warriors tallied at least three three-pointers in the game to put it out of reach, but Mike Conley and Tony Allen—two catalysts for Memphis in Games 2 and 3—also had significant let down games.

Conley went 4 of 15 in Game 3, while Tony Allen went 2 for 9. As a whole, the team shot 37.5% from the floor and 22.2% from beyond the arc, but with those two going ice cold there was going little chance Memphis would keep up. After collecting 11 steals in the first three games of the series, Allen had just one in Game 4.

Now that the series is even again, the NBA odds at this online sportsbook suggest the Warriors are now firmly in control at -800. Based on his words after the game, Allen seemed confident his team could put together a better performance in Game 5.

“It’s a best out of three. We have proven we can win in that building,” Allen said in his postgame presser. “We knew this series wasn’t going to be a sweep, so we have to be ready to play in the next game.”

“It isn’t anything we haven’t seen before,” Allen added. “It was the defense. If the offense isn’t clicking, we can’t let that dictate what happens at the defensive end of the floor.”

Insistent that the story in Game 4 was effort and not strategy, Allen seemed beyond certain that the Grizzlies will come out hungry in Game 5.
