Similar to a few other contenders this season, the Houston Rockets can’t catch a break. They’ve been without Dwight Howard for much of the season, and as soon as he gets back, Patrick Beverly goes down with a wrist injury.
Initially, it was reported that Beverly would be out for 7-10 days, but he has opted for season-ending surgery to repair torn ligaments.
Rockets guard Pat Beverley has opted to have surgery to repair ligaments in his left wrist injured last week in Indianapolis, a person with knowledge of the decision said. […] The surgery will force Beverley to miss the remainder of the season, including the post-season regardless of how far the Rockets advance in the playoffs.
