The lottery bound Timberwolves can’t wait until the 2014-15 season ends. After having their starting point guard Ricky Rubio miss numerous games with an ankle injury, they now lose Nikola Pekovic for the season with an ankle injury.
Pekovic has been out since March 13 with an ankle injury and the Timberwolves officially announced Monday that the center will not return this season.
Flip confirms that Nikola Pekovic will be out for the remainder of the season.

Pekovic averaged 12.5 points a game and grabbed 7.5 rebounds a night when he was able to play. Still, Pekovic looks like he’s overpaid as the Wolves are paying him 12 million dollars a year until 2018.
