Klay Thompson Out a Week With Injured Ankle

thompsonThe Golden State Warriors became the first western conference team to secure a playoff spot, but they still have some work to in order to hold on to the top seed. But they’ll have to work towards that without Klay Thompson who is out for about a week with an injured ankle. Let’s just hope he’s ready to go for the playoffs.

Klay Thompson has missed only three games in his four-season career, but he’s about to miss a fourth and possibly a whole lot more.

The Warriors’ shooting guard rolled his right ankle during the third quarter Monday and postgame swelling will cause him to miss Wednesday’s game at Atlanta and at least the team’s next four games.

“Klay’s going to be out. I would say a week or 10 days. Maybe more. Maybe less,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “We’ll just reevaluate it in maybe a week or so. It swelled up after the game, and obviously, we’ll be very careful.”
